Tyler Schmidt and Sarah Schmidt: Who Are They?

Cedar Falls residents Tyler Schmidt and Sarah Schmidt died in their tents Friday morning throughout Maquoketa Caves.

According to an announcement from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, officers responded to allegations of arrests at Maquoketa Cave State Park Campground earlier than 6:30 a.m. on Friday. Police found three people who had been shot dead in a tent at the campsite, in line with DCI affiliate director Mitch Mortvedt.

Murder-Suicide Written by Anthony Orlando Sherwin

23-year-old Anthony Orlando Sherwin, recognized only by the authorities, committed the murder at Maquoketa Caves State Park. He killed a family of three faster than suicide.

According to authorities, the triple homicide at the Maquoketa Caves State Park campsite was reported at 6:23 a.m. on Friday to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation.

The police received here all through the three corpses of our bodies. A camper was later found handed over by the police.

Mortvedt provides no justification. The three victims, he said, were from a specific campsite rather than Sherwin’s. It is unclear, according to Mortvedt, whether or not the killings were premeditated or whether Sherwin knew the victims or not.

Tyler Schmidt and Sarah Schmidt’s daughter, Lulu Schmidt

Lulu Schmidt must have been one of many relatives who died instantly while camping in Maquoketa Caves State Park. She is the daughter of Tyler Schmidt and Sarah Schmidt, two others were shot.

Lulu left when she was only six years old. Arlo, his older brother, was only 9 years early and survived capture.
