Veronica Bird and DC debut collection inspired by Wonder Woman – The Hollywood Reporter

Not all heroes wear a cape – for those who prefer the power of a jacket, Veronica Beard’s new Wonder Woman collection is here to save the day.

The ready-to-wear brand has joined forces with DC and Warner Bros. Consumer Products in a ten-piece capsule ($198 to $898) inspired by the Justice League superhero, created by William Moulton Marston and artist Harry Peter and debuted in 1941.

The collaboration includes the women’s clothing label’s signature pieces in Amazon warrior colors, such as the Miller Dickey jacket (available in red or navy), gold buttons, comic book lining, white and gold striped Dickie, bright red leggings and towering stretches. Jeans with a gold and navy belted waist and a Kara denim jacket with frayed hem.

There are also graphic T-shirts to complete the ensemble, including a black vintage T-shirt with original comic book art, a slob-style baseball shirt and a cropped jacket.

“We believe every woman is a superhero, and we want to celebrate that with this collaboration,” designer sisters-in-law Veronica Millie-Bird and Veronica Swanson-Bird explained in a statement. “We design for today’s multi-faceted, multi-tasking woman – so she can look good, feel good, do a good job… and continue to be a superhero.”

Veronica Bird is often dressed by Hollywood stars, and she has been seen in Meghan Markle, Awkwafina, Sofia Vergara, Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington among others.

Veronica Beard collection comes ahead of the highly anticipated third edition of amazing womanCo-starring Gal Gadot and Lynda Carter (original TV amazing woman).

Although no additional details were released about the Patty Jenkins-helmed franchise, Gadot previously revealed that fans will see more of Carter outside of the final credits scene in 1984.

“First of all, Linda guided me from the first moment I was cast as Wonder Woman,” Gadot said. The Hollywood Reporter last year. “She was always there, talking to me, giving me tips and everything. She’s a true hero of what Patti and I have been doing, and it was great that we were able to find the right opportunity to bring her to the last movie and now to the third movie.”
