Analysisaceh.com, Banda Aceh | Two cars parked in the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque area of Banda Aceh caught fire on Sunday (15/5/2022) at around 05.35 WIB.
Head of the Banda Aceh City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP), Muhammad Hidayat said the two cars, namely the Terios BL 1721 JW belonging to Mukhlis (46), a resident of Nagan Raya, and the Toyota Rush BL 1056 VZ, who was a resident of Langsa.
“The owner cannot be questioned because he was traumatized by the incident,” he said.
The fire occurred when the car owner was praying Fajr, when it was first noticed by a resident who was passing on the road to the Grand Mosque.
“The witness saw the Rush car which caught fire first, and within seconds the Terios car beside it caught fire,” Hidayat explained.
In the process of handling this, continued Hidayat, his party deployed two units of the fire fleet from the main command post. The fire was extinguished at around 05.50 WIB.
“There were no casualties in this incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the police,” closed the DPKP head. (Yuna)
