A TikToker user who recently moved from Hawaii to Alberta shared videos of his experience and one of the things he definitely wasn’t prepared for was the cold weather.
Kepi, who posts his updates at @iam_kepi, has moved to Canada and as you can probably expect, there are some extreme differences in the weather.
In a video, Kepi shared how unwilling he was to edit.
“So I got up this morning and came to work. As I walked from my car to where I work, maybe a four minute walk away, I felt like my hands were going to drop and hypothermia started to show,” he said in the video.
Kibe added that locals told him the temperature can reach minus 40 degrees during the Alberta winter, so he thought it was very cold.
He said that when he checked the temperature, he expected it to be about 10 below zero, but it was actually plus six.
Most Canadians are probably used to the cold weather, but we can all deal with that dreaded first day of freezing cold.
“I’m definitely starting to reconsider my decisions in life,” he added.
People in the comments were quick to point out, plus six is definitely not a winter weather in the Great White North.
Someone said, “My friend, it’s summer.”
Another added, “Oh my God, you won’t survive the winter.”
Since posting the initial video, which garnered 1.6 million views on TikTok, Kepi has posted additional weather updates.
In one of the videos, he shared how many layers he was wearing including four layers of T-shirt, two layers of pants, and two layers of socks and said he was still cool.
Safe to say, he’s definitely not a fan of Alberta weather.
Recently, the county was hit by the first snow of the season, and based on his reaction, it looks like Kibe may be in for a severe winter.
