Partyku.id – A number of youths held a discussion with the title “Young Leads, Towards 2024: Re-Discussion of Presidential Threshold and Minimum Age Limit for Presidential Candidates”. The discussion was held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in Kopitok Kemang, South Jakarta.
The discussion was attended by Political Observer Refly Harun, PSI politician Rian Ernest, Young Vlogger Cania Citta, and politician Arief Poyuono.
According to Dinno Ardiansyah, CEO of Centenialz, the discussion was held in order to facilitate the unrest of young people who felt they were only used as vote getters by established old politicians.
“So far, the words young and millennial have been used as jargon and commodities, but the true partisanship is far from burning. They say we are pro youth, but those who can become leaders must first be 40 years old. Is this not a hypocrite?”, he said.
The former President of the Trisakti University BEM also said that the 20 percent threshold and the minimum age limit for the president were anti-progressive.
“It’s clearly not pro youth, and closes the space for the daughters of the young nation who have the potential to perform as leaders of the country,” he explained.
