Good morning Manchester United followers
Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United’s first staff with a goal as Erik ten Hag’s men beat the Sheriff 3-0 at Previous Trafford.
The Portuguese celebrity, 37, stormed the tunnel early from the climax of last week’s win over Spurs.
He was then left out of the squad to face Chelsea.
But he came on again on Thursday and – after a dominating goal for offside – finally got on the scoresheet as United had finished the game.
It now remains to be seen if he will remain a part of the Premier League home game against West Ham on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag praised his side for their “focus” as they did a good job of beating the Moldovan team.
He mentioned: “It’s okay. Actually you expect you to rate within the first half hour so it took a while but we deserved it.
“Second half we scored two extra good goals from open play and I’m happy with the clean sheet because we didn’t give anything away. It was a targeted victory.
“Our position on the pitch could still be higher, our second and third targets did well.
“We got into position and scored goals.”
