Through this chipset, MediaTek is bringing the mmWave frequency band for the first time to 5G phones. This chipset is claimed to be able to switch from the mmWave 5G to sub-6GHz frequency band smoothly.
In the sub-6 spectrum, the chipset supports 3CC operator aggregation, while in the mmWave spectrum it supports 4CC operator aggregation. By combining two 5G network frequency bands, MediaTek promises Dimensity 1050 will be able to provide up to 53 percent faster speeds and wider coverage to mobile phones compared to LTE aggregation combined with the mmWave frequency band alone.
In addition to taking 5G speeds to the next level, the Dimensity 1050 also offers enhanced gaming through Wi-Fi features with HyperEngine 5.0 to ensure lower latency connections with the new tri-band covering 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz so as to extend time and performance. games.
In addition, the Dimensity 1050 has been made through 6nm fabrication technology which contains an Octa-Core or eight-core CPU and has a speed of up to 2.5GHz Arm Cortex-A78 CPU and is combined with GPU or graphics engine Arm Mali-G610.
This chipset is also compatible with LPPDR5 RAM technology and UFS 3.1 internal storage which allows read and write performance for applications, games, visual content or even faster frame rates than previous generations.
Regarding photography, the Dimensity 1050 chipset is capable of delivering features in the form of dual HDR video and is supported by MediaTek’s APU 550 image processing engine to enhance AI camera action that can capture objects clearly in low light conditions.
While this chipset can accommodate a 108MP main camera with other complementary lenses of 20MP and 20MP resolution and is also capable of supporting video recording with a resolution of 4K or 3840 x 2160 pixels.
The Dimensity 1050 supports Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) screen resolutions with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Other features that can be applied to mobile devices or Android-based cellphones include True Dual 5G SIM (5G SA + 5G SA), Dual VoNR, and Wi-Fi 6E which allows power efficiency with a 2×2 MIMO antenna for a more secure connection. fast.
