Studio Orange Debuts Original Short Anime ‘HOME!’ on Youtube – Manga rampage by the late Kentarou Miura will continue starting with the 13th issue of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine on June 24, according to the editing department of Young Animal magazine and Hakusensha manga writer Kouji Mori. The manga will contain six chapters until the end of the “Fantasia Arc/Elf ISLAND Chapter,” after which a new arc will begin.

In English, you can read the entire release, which includes commentary from the editorial department of Young Animal as well as Mori.

“Original work by Kentarou Miura, manga by Studio Gaga, supervised by Kouji Mori,” manga credits will now be read in the future.

Studio Gaga is Miura’s studio, where she works alongside her assistants and trainees at Berserk. Mori is Miura’s childhood friend, with whom she often confers over plot elements in Berserk. “I know Berserk’s plot to the end,” Mori added in the statement. Last year, Mori published a one-shot manga in Young Animal that tells the story of his lifelong friendship and artistic partnership with Miura.

Mori stated in a statement that he and Miura had been talking about the Berserk ending game since the manga’s infamous “Eclipse” event 30 years ago. After Miura died, he considered doing an interview or making some sketches with accompanying essays to describe the ending, but he decided that these techniques were not enough. He expressed gratitude for Studio Gaga’s invitation to continue the manga, promising to “remember as many details as possible and tell the story,” assuring readers that, while the story isn’t perfect, he believes he can “virtually portray the story Miura wants to tell.”

“We will not deviate from Master Miura’s own words,” Mori and the Young Animal editing department vowed.

Berserk’s 41st volume, featuring Miura’s final chapter for the series, was released in Japan on December 24 last year.

Regular and special editions of the 41st volume were released, with the latter including special canvas art and a drama CD. The canvas art (view left) that accompanies the special edition of the 41st book was created by Miura. The drama CD has the anime cast reprising their roles and depicting the manga’s important “Awakening” chapter, which has not been seen in any anime adaptation. Makoto Fukami is also returning to write the script for the drama CD.

Miura died following a sudden aortic dissection on May 6, 2021. He was 54 years old at the time. Ever since news of Miura’s death spread, artists from all over the world have expressed their condolences.

Guts, an all-powerful warrior wielding a great sword, explores a dark medieval world inhabited by demons, corrupt and decadent nobles, and other monsters in the manga Berserk. Every night, demons attack him, drawn to the curse he bears as a result of a horrific experience.
