Water chestnut – 1/2 kg
Onion – 1
tomato – 1
Cumin – 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Green Chili Paste – 1/2 tsp
Kasuri methi – 1/2 teaspoon
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 2 tablespoons
Salt – to taste
How to make watermelon from vegetables
To make water chestnut greens, first take the water chestnut and peel it and take out the white part inside. Now clean it up and keep it aside in a bowl. Next, we chop small pieces of onions and tomatoes. Now put the onions and tomatoes in the blender jar, grind them and prepare their paste. Now put the oil in a frying pan and let it heat up over medium heat.
When the oil becomes hot, add the cumin seeds to it. When the cumin begins to crackle, add the onion and tomato paste and fry. After some time add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and green chili paste and fry with a ladle. After frying the broth for 4-5 minutes, the oil will begin to come in contact with it. When the broth begins to leave the oil, add the water chestnuts and mix well. If you like, you can also make pieces of water chestnut of your choice.
When the water chestnuts mix well with the broth, cover the pan and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Next add garam masala, fenugreek kasuri and salt to taste and mix. Turn off the gas after a while. Delicious and healthy water chestnut greens are ready. It can be eaten for lunch or dinner at any time. The vegetables can be served with roti, naan or paratha.
