BNews–NASIONAL-– Korlantas Polri will again conduct Operation Zebra 2022 starting from October 3 to October 16, 2022. However, in the Zebra Operation for these two weeks, there are different things.
Korlantas Polri no longer uses manual ticketing as usual. Instead, police officers in the field will take action; namely by using a technological method, namely Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) or electronic ticketing.
This police technology method has previously been active in various regions in Indonesia. Including already tested its use.
The Head of the Ren Ops Bagops Subsection of the Korlantas Polri, AKBP Agung Nugroho, emphasized that this year’s Zebra Operation, officers in the field are prohibited from carrying out manual fines.
“All traffic tickets are carried out using a static and mobile ETLE system and with a sympathetic warning,” said AKBP Agung, published on the Korlantas Polri website, Wednesday (28/9).
According to Agung, the static ETLE method works by relying on cameras installed on public roads. While ETLE mobile refers to the camera that officers hold while on duty in the field, including on patrol cars.
