These five players deserve a massive rating upgrade in FIFA 23 after receiving some of the worst ratings in FIFA 22.
The FIFA 22 tournament is slowly coming to a close as players set their sights on FIFA 23. As the release period for the new game approaches, fans are eagerly anticipating the players ratings to be revealed.
Every year, player ratings generate a lot of buzz as franchise fans debate which ratings EA has mastered and which ratings have not. Of course, player ratings affect all FIFA 23 modes, but usually they have the biggest impact on the incredibly popular Ultimate Team mode.
Using FIFA 22 ratings, there are five players who deserve more than one upgrade in FIFA 23.
While Ramsdale certainly deserves a promotion after his successful season at Arsenal, it is easy to understand why EA Sports chose a rating of 74 in FIFA 22. Not only was Ramsdale proven in the Premier League, but with Bernd Leno as Arsenal’s first team. – Choosing the goalkeeper, Ramsdale was seen as a future goalkeeper.
Of course, that all changed as Ramsdale grabbed the top spot and scored 34 Premier League games and 12 clean games for Arsenal in his first season with the club, making him worthy of a much improved rating in FIFA 23.
Torino was expected to have a really disappointing 2021/2022 season, but a very positive campaign awaits the club instead. The Italian team managed to finish the season in tenth place in the Italian Serie A, and this was thanks to the impressive performances of defender Bremer.
Bremer started FIFA 22 as a 76er-rated player and has since been named the best defender in Serie A, as well as a move to Juventus. No center back deserves a FIFA 23 upgrade more than Bremer.
Jonathan Clauss may be a defender in FIFA 22, but his playing style as an attacking full-back has earned him some TOTW elements and a deserved place in the Ligue 1 TOTS League. Much like Bremer, Klaus was the reason his team overtook Lens in 2021/2022 with a seventh place finish.
Klaus has since moved to Marseille where the Argentine footballer will seek to improve on his five goals and eleven assists in the previous season.
One look at a Newcastle game and it’s clear that St. Maximin deserved to break into the ’80s in FIFA 23. The winger is a charmer with the ball at his feet and is just a nightmare for the opposing defenders.
His pace and dribbling are amazing to watch and even with major investments coming into the club and attracting world-class players, Newcastle have stated that Saint-Maximin is not for sale.
His goals and assists may be low, but it must be remembered that he played for a Newcastle team that barely avoided relegation last season. With a renewed squad, expect Saint-Maximin to shine as he continues to prove that a rating of 79 will be very low in FIFA 23.
Before succumbing to a cruciate ligament injury that ended his season in March 2022, Florian Wirtz looked like one of the best players in the Bundesliga. Granted the midfielder is only 19-years-old and rated a very impressive 78, but given his influence at Leverkusen, Wirtz deserves the FIFA 23 upgrade.
Wirtz has collected 17 direct goal contributions in 24 Bundesliga matches for Leverkusen. If he continues to evolve down this path, expect Wirtz to validate the improved FIFA 23 rating.
