President Marcos on September 23 (New York time) speaks to Filipino journalists who joined him on his visit to the US. Asked where he sees the country when his term ends in 2028, Marcos said: “I’ve been asked what the absolute end result is that we want to achieve, and it’s very simple to me: No more hungry Filipinos. very simple goal. But I dare say, it’s not necessarily a simple problem to solve. This requires a lot of effort and thought from the public sector. “But if it’s the responsibility of the public sector to address the social issues we’re facing, we’re engaged – this is a new policy of this administration – we’re engaging the private sector as a partner in that effort.”
