The first trailer for the fourth and final season of the supernatural series Look is out — and a new Netflix acquisition is looking to tie in some loose ends after season three of the cliffhanger.
The trailer, which Netflix released earlier today, highlights the returning characters and dazzling special effects. Along with displaying what is sure to be a thrilling start to the end Look‘s journey, one deeply brooding line is sure to get fans excited: “We don’t fly into the storm. It flew to us. It chose us.” This line alone looks to pick up where season three’s cliffhanger left off.
Look creator Jeff Rake originally intended the show to run for six seasons. But now that Netflix has taken over the series, they’ve given it 20 episodes—split into two parts—to conclude the storyline. Rake calls it “disgraceful wealth.” He also said he “Absolutely sure that 20 episodes gave me enough time to tell the whole story the way I always wanted to.”
NBC canceled Look returns in July 2021, leaving the future of the show in jeopardy. After being a huge hit on Netflix (reportedly seeing 25 million accounts watch it in just four weeks), they decided to update the show. It was reported this year that the main cast members will return to complete Look, hopefully giving loyal fans the reward they deserve. This cast member includes Luna Blaise, Josh Dallas, Parveen Kaur, JR Ramirez, Melissa Roxburgh, and Holly Taylor.
Part one of Look the fourth season will premiere on November 4, starting with the episode “Touch-and-Go”, directed by Romeo Tirone, who also helmed the second and third season finals, among others. The last ten episodes have no set release date.
