With our first baby, it’s all weekly baby showers and bump shots, plush anti-nausea candy, and naps. But moms of two, three, four, or even more know how difficult it can be to document and enjoy the milestones that come with their next pregnancy. With toddlers bouncing around your feet, documenting these memories won’t work.
But Mandy Moore, “37+ weeks” pregnant with her second child, indicated that she was going to get through all the mess and made sure to snap some maternity photos before her new bundle of joy arrived.

In an Instagram post this week, he shouted at his photographer, who he said was down for a last minute adventure (we’re looking at you Mandy, don’t have time to plan these things in months ahead). “…Seriously—I took some clothes out of my closet, changed in the back of my car and we avoided a group of guys practicing frisbee in the park near my house to take this shot… oh all in 90 degree heat lol) …With a toddler and a husband in the the road, it was a challenge to find time to mark the seasons of my life, but the baby boy was more than worth it.”
Her late pregnancy photos wowed her followers, as she looked stunning as always despite the heat and chaos.
Her first photo featured a floor-length accordion-style dress, in a black and white image of her in a garden-like setting, her long hair wavy down and not looking 90 degrees, like, at all. The photo of the two is staged in a tree (how, oh how did she get into this tree?!) with a stunning supermodel glam face and a pale blue dress. Her last photo looks a lot more like us everyday moms, in capris pants, with her belly peeking out of her cozy blue sweater, standing inside (probably) her house.

Amidst his millions of fans, several commentators pointed out how much they liked the photos and his simple explanation of the situation. “Ok ok, I will do maternity shots like this,” said one of them. Another joked, “…and you climb a tree!” The others nodded at him, taking the time to create a beautiful drawing despite the heat and stress — “Maternity, but make it art.” Yet another added a comment with the hashtag #DoitAll, praising his outfit change and tree ambition.
Moms around the world also lauded her work-life balance earlier this summer, when she prioritized her family’s growth and health over her remaining show schedule in 2022. She cited long bus hours and insufficient rest as reasons why she needed to call him. stop for a moment, and go home. She and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, also share their toddler son August together. For those who have been following her pregnancy since its early June announcement, there are only a few more weeks to wait.
