BANDUNG, WWW.PASJABAR.COM — The Pasundan College of Economics (STIE) opened the 2022 Academic Introduction and Gathering Activities (KUPAS) on Saturday (1/10/2022).
The KUPAS activity which is generally called the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) is carried out so that students can get to know more about the campus environment and life.
This is also in line with the directives and guidelines issued by the Director General of Belmawa, Ministry of RISTEKDIKTI 2022 that PKKMB can be used as a starting point for the initiation of idealism development, instilling and strengthening a sense of love for the homeland, and concern for the environment, also in the context of creating a generation with religious, nationalist, and moral character. independent, cooperative and with integrity.
KUPAS 2022 is also inseparable from STIE Pasundan’s vision, namely “Becoming a Leading College in Entrepreneurship Development Based on Sundanese Values and Islamic Values in 2030 at the National Level.”
PKKMB is also expected to be a vehicle for inculcating the five programs of the national mental revolution movement, namely Indonesia to serve, Indonesia to be clean, Indonesia to be orderly, Indonesia to be independent, and Indonesia to be united.
Head of STIE Pasundan Dudung Djuhana., MM. said that KUPAS is an initial provision so that students will later become university alumni who have depth of knowledge, noble character, love for the homeland and are globally competitive.
“In this KUPAS activity, new students are introduced to various norms and values that apply at STIE Pasundan, this activity is also a provision so that students can study well until they become undergraduates,” he said.
On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Pasundan Association, Prof. Dr. HM Didi Turmudzi. M.Si advised new students to take advantage of the opportunity to study at STIE Pasundan as well as possible.
“It is very fortunate that the students are able to pursue higher education because not everyone has the same opportunity, let’s be and give our best. But, a person can only give what he has, therefore in order to give good, be a good person first, “he said.
Prof. Didi also emphasized that students can learn to be strong individuals, have conscience and reason and respect other people.
The Chairperson of the Student Senate, Ade Handriansyah said that KUPAS was an activity to introduce new students as well as actively engage with the academic community and get to know the culture of STIE Pasundan.
“In this activity, we instill awareness that we students have a role as academics, as well as agents of change, social control, and iron stock for the development of the nation,” he said.
“With this activity, it is hoped that a high sense of concern and togetherness will be built in carrying out various activities and tasks on campus,” he added.
Meanwhile, a new student majoring in Management, Zhalsha Zelena SN, said that she enjoyed studying at STIE Pasundan.
“Hopefully by studying at STIE Pasundan, I can pursue my dreams and become a successful person,” he said.
The same thing was conveyed by the new student of the Management Department, Muhamad Alghifari Azhar S.
“I chose the STIE Pasundan campus because it is a good campus, close to my house … I hope I can be comfortable and happy to study here so that later I can be successful and rich like Rafi Ahmad,” he said. (tiwi)
