The Indonesian Child Protection Commission opened its voice after actor Kriss Hatta admitted to dating a woman 20 years younger than him.

Strong criticism from KPAI Commissioner Retno Listyarti and criticized what Kriss Hatta had done. Even more so when he found out that Kriss Hatta was planning to marry.
According to rumors, Kriss Hatta will marry a young girl after graduating from school. According to him, this has the potential to be a glorification of child marriage.
“Kriss Hatta, who admitted publicly that he was dating a minor (14 years old), even received the blessing of his girlfriend’s mother, and was allowed to marry after his son graduated from high school,” said Retno in a written statement, Wednesday (28/9).
“Criticizing Kriss Hatta as a public figure who has set a bad example for society, especially teenagers. This has the potential to be imitated by the Indonesian people.”
“It also has the potential to glorify child marriage. Even though the central and regional governments are actively fighting to reduce the number of child marriages.”
KPAI Condemns Kriss Hatta’s Attitude to Dating Minors
He emphasized that Kriss Hatta as a public figure should support the government’s program to reduce the number of child marriages.
What Kriss Hatta has shown makes children have the potential to lose their rights to be able to grow and develop optimally.
Retno also criticized the actor’s statement that he had obtained the daughter’s parental blessing to establish a relationship and get married soon.
“This has a strong potential to glorify the love story of adults who deserve to be fathers with minors. Don’t let this be considered normal by the public,” Retno criticized.
This criticism arose after Kriss Hatta admitted that he was in a relationship with a newcomer artist who was 20 years younger than him. The 34-year-old actor said the lover figure could deal with it.
“How comfortable is it with a child with a 20 year age difference. He is a good person, more patient with me, who is dominant,” said Kriss Hatta, as quoted by detikcom news on Sunday (25/9).
“Even though you are still young, you can date adults. I didn’t think a child at this age would want to be with me,” said Kriss Hatta.
