Bandung, WWW.PASJABAR.COM – The Ministry of Education and Culture through the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel (Ditjen GTK) handed over the Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) students to 72 LPTKs organizing PPG, Thursday (29/9/2022).

Screened 13,809 participants who will undergo lectures for 2 semesters with a new learning model.
This model is oriented to the teaching and learning process through practical field experiences that emphasize student observations, innovation projects, and case studies.
Pasundan University accepted 85 students of PPG Pre-service Wave I spread across three fields of study.
Namely Biology Education 33 people, Mathematics Education 20 people, and Elementary School Teacher Education 32 people.
Encourage the Birth of Professional Teacher Candidates
Plt. Director General of GTK Prof. Nunuk Suryani said that the preparation of this year’s Pre-service PPG was more systematic than the previous year, starting from planning, selection, learning, relevance, field practice, induction, to graduation.
“We want to get professional teacher candidates who have a strong motivation and love to become a teacher,” he said.
He emphasized that PPG Pre-service students must have the ability, skills, and willingness to continue learning, so that they can support learning according to the stage of student development.
For this reason, the PPG Pre-Office 2022 learning process will prioritize inquiry and reflection habits, be integrated, utilize technology, and be relevant between campuses, schools, and the community.
Meanwhile, at the assessment stage, it includes individual and group assignments, reflection journals, and feedback from tutors, lecturers, and fellow students.
“With the new mode that will be obtained later, hopefully students can strengthen their hearts and minds that being a teacher is a noble task that can guide the nation’s children towards their best future,” he explained.
Improve Teacher Quality
Mendikbudristek Nadiem Makarim emphasized that Indonesia needs teachers who can adapt to the needs of the present and the future, while encouraging students to maximize their potential, talents and interests.
According to him, the new model established will have a major impact on improving the quality of teachers, thus giving birth to true educators who are professional, adaptive, flexible, and continue to prioritize the needs of students.
