Jenny from the block is ready to drop your block! The first teaser for the upcoming Netflix action film Mother has arrived and by all indications, Jennifer Lopez is one baaaad mother.
In the opening moments of the teaser for Mother, we see Jennifer Lopez’s character doing pull-ups on the side of an isolated house in the snow while in a tanktop that reveals her belly-so you know she shouldn’t be messed with. What follows is a quick succession of foot chases, car chases and Jennifer Lopez to sniper rifle scopes. “If there’s a problem,” he said, “find me.” Will do it, J-Lo!
Motherofficial plot: “A deadly female assassin comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up years earlier, while on the run from a dangerous man.”
J-Lo’s (or was it J-Fleck?) relationship with Netflix has grown tremendously since she signed a multi-year contract. Mother will be Jennifer Lopez’s first, but she will also be starring Atlaswhere does he play “A woman fighting for humanity in a future where an AI soldier has determined the only way to end war is to end humanity. In order to defeat this evil AI, Atlas must work with the one thing he fears the most — another AI.”
Mother co-stars Gael García Bernal, Joseph Fiennes and Paul Raci. Screenplay by Misha Green (Lovecraft Country), Andrew Berloff (who earned an Oscar nomination for writing Straight Out of Compton) and Peter Craig (Batman). Mother directed by Niki Caro, whose filmography covers 2002 Whale Rider2015 McFarland, USA and 2020 Mulan.
Although no official release date has been set, Mother coming to Netflix just in time for Mother’s Day at May 2023.
