Chairperson of the PKK of West Java Province, Atalia Pararatya, mobilized the Women’s School to Achieve Dreams and Dreams (Sekoper Cinta). From that school, she has high hopes that women in West Java will be more empowered.
“They are given knowledge and skills, with this collaboration, more and more women are empowered from an economic perspective,” said Atalia to the Depok Journal, Wednesday (28/09).
Atalia made the statement after visiting Sekoper Cinta at SMK Negeri 2 Depok.
The woman who is familiarly called Ibu Cinta added that at SMK 2 Depok, she majored in Catering. From that, his party collaborated with teachers, so that later the women could become independent women.
“They can already make bread, lapis legit, sponge cake and so on. Hopefully the knowledge is absorbed and can be used as their efforts to improve the family’s economy, “he explained.
Launched in late 2018, the Sekoper Cinta program has now begun to spread in 27 cities/districts in West Java.
“The woman is the main key in the family, even though the husband is the head, but the heart is in the woman. So women must be able to be a battering ram who not only sits at home but they are able to open the door of rizki as well,” he said.
She hopes that women who study at Sekoper Cinta will be able to become wives, mothers and best friends for other female friends.
“We launched this program so that women can be independent and empowered. If they are empowered, God willing, they will become resilient women. Cases of divorce, trafficking to early marriage, one of the factors is because of the economy. That’s why it’s important for us to provide empowerment for women to be independent and empowered,” he explained.
Depok City Secretary, Supian Suri, who directly accompanied Atalia, hoped that women could maximize Sekoper Cinta.
“In Depok, it has been running for several years. We hope that with this Sekoper Cinta, women in Depok will be more empowered,” he said.
