Functions of Human Body Organs

We as humans certainly have what is called the human body organ. However, do you know their respective functions? Well, for those of you who don’t know it, please just read the article below carefully.

Human organs are a collection of tissues that have a special role and each of these tissues has their respective tasks that are interrelated with each other. There are various organ systems in the human body, each with different roles that work in human survival. Below are some organs and their functions, namely:

Heart

The function of the liver is as a digestive gland that produces bile.

Kidney

The role of the kidneys is to regulate electrolyte balance and also remove waste from the body through the process of the kidneys excreting urine into the ureters.

Heart

The heart has a function, namely to distribute oxygenated blood to all organs of the body and also to pump blood in the body through blood vessels.

Paru-paru

The function of the lungs is to assist breathing and cooperate with other organs namely the heart to become a very important organ of the respiratory system. The lungs also excrete waste and carbon dioxide gas from the venous blood.

Stomach

The stomach has a function, namely to remove gastric acid, hydrochloric acid and to maintain the pH value that affects the digestive process.

Small intestine

The function of the small intestine is to absorb nutrients found mostly in food. Food is mechanically broken down into liquid as it reaches the small intestine.

Blood

The role of blood is to transport oxygen needed by cells in all human bodies. One of the functions of blood is to send body tissues with nutrients.

Pancreas

An integral part of the digestive system is the pancreas. The function of the head of the pancreas is to secrete insulin and pancreatic juice.

Brain

The brain has a function to coordinate and regulate most of the behavior, movement and homeostatic body functions such as blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature and body fluid balance.

Throat

The function of the throat is a place for the passage of food into the esophagus and a place for the release of air or breathing into the lungs.

Nose

The role of the nose in the organs of the human body is to filter the air, warm the breathing air and also breathe in the breathing air. In addition, the role of the nose is also in sound resonance.

Mouth

The function of the mouth is the beginning of the entry of drinks, food and also speech.

Pineal Gland

The pineal gland is an important endocrine gland located in the brain with a reddish gray color. The size of the pineal gland is very small, the size of a grain of rice and consists of special cells called pinealocytes in scientific language.

Hypothalamus

The role of the human brain is to control the release of the main hormone by the pituitary gland, namely the hypothalamus.

Faring

The organ of the human body that has a function for filtering air is the pharynx. The pharynx turns the air warm, passes through it and moistens it, humidifying the air in the lungs.

Larynx

The larynx has a function that is to provide a tone of voice when speaking and is often known as the voice box.

Thyroid Gland

The location of this thyroid gland is on the largest endocrine gland in the body and at the base of the neck. The thyroid gland also secretes two important hormones, namely triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4).

Bile

The function of bile is to store bile which is needed by digestion and secreted by the liver. The role of the gallbladder also helps in the digestion of fats.

Right

The rectum or also called the intestinal axis is a digestive organ that has the function of providing a place to store poop or feces.

Salivary gland

The function of the salivary glands is to secrete saliva to wet food into the mouth. The salivary glands also initiate digestion and also help protect the teeth from disease.

Esophagus

The function of the esophagus is from the mouth to the stomach to become a bolus passage through the esophagus caused by movement, the name of this movement is called peristalsis in the muscular wall of the esophagus.

Colon

The function of the large intestine is to absorb electrolytes and water from the remains of digestion and store feces until they are excreted through bowel movements.

Diaphragm

The muscular partition between the thoracic and abdominal cavities and at the bottom of the ribs extends is called the diaphragm. One of its functions is to assist in the respiratory system.

Clean

The function of the spleen is to filter blood, platelets, and then stored in the spleen with white blood cells.

Ovaries

The ovary is the part of the female reproductive system that is located in the lateral pelvis (side wall of the pelvis) and is attached to the woman’s uterus. The two ovaries are connected to each other by the fallopian tubes (fallopian tubes).
