Atlus confirmed on Monday that Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 will all arrive on PlayStation 5 and Steam. This news comes a day after the publisher revealed that all three titles will be coming to Xbox and Game Pass platforms over the next year.
These three Persona games are already available across different PlayStation platforms, but they will all be coming to PlayStation 5 with these new updates. Persona 5 Royal is currently playable on Sony’s latest console via backwards compatibility with PlayStation 4. Persona 3 Portable was originally released for the PSP, while Persona 4 Golden was the original PlayStation Vita title. Golden has already made it to Steam, but it’s the only major Persona game to do so, so this will be the first for both Portable and Royal PC.
There is no mention of Persona games coming to the Nintendo Switch. The latest entry in the original character series – Shin Megami Tensei 5 – is a Nintendo Switch exclusive and the protagonist Joker 5 has appeared as a DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. If Persona titles do eventually appear on the Switch, Nintendo will likely reveal some ports in the next undated Nintendo Direct.
Persona 5 Royal is coming to Xbox and Game Pass on October 21, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden coming sometime in 2023. Atlus hasn’t revealed a release window for the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions of these games, and it’s currently unclear Whether Persona 5 Royal will launch first on Xbox or simultaneously on all three platforms in October.
