This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Press Council, M Agung Dharmajaya in a written statement.
The former Chancellor of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah for two terms died at Serdang Hospital, Selangor, Malaysia, due to illness.
Azyumardi Azra’s body is planned to be taken to the funeral home at Puri Laras Housing 2. Jl Pisangan Raya RT 003/09 Blok C 23. Cireundeu Village, Ciputat Timur District, South Tangerang (next to FK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah).
“May his sins be forgiven, his deeds accepted, husnul khotimah, and the family he left behind be given strength and patience. Amen YRA,” prayed M Agung Dharmajaya. (mom)
