The Makuri Islands Tour is a tour of new things coming to Zwift! It takes place between November 3-30 and includes a completely new rider experience, as well as the opportunity for runners and riders to get a first look at Urukazi’s new routes that will be released in November.
Here are all the details we know (this post will be updated with new information as we get it)…
Your Tour, Your Way
For the first time ever, the cycling side of this Zwift tour lets you complete the stages as required. Walk the stage as a free ride, a club event, a date, in a rhythm partner group, or even as a workout! As long as you complete either the long or short route assigned to the stage (see stage details below), you will receive credit for completing the stage.
It does not matter when or in what order you complete each stage, or. Just make sure to register and then complete the stages between November 3-30.
All this flexibility makes the Tour of Makuri Islands Zwift’s most accessible tour to date. No more messing with the schedule of events. Just complete the scene the way you want!
(Of course there are events planned for each stage. We highly recommend taking these group tour trips which are always great.)

Run against the Journey
It is worth noting that this tournament for runners will behave like a typical Zwift tournament. This means, the only way to complete the stages is to participate in scheduled tournament events. Additionally, runners will not see tour progress in the Companion app or in-game.
New home screen interface
While we haven’t seen it yet, we’re told that Tour of Makuri includes a new home screen experience for riders that more visually shows which stages you have left and which you’ve completed.
