3 Ways to Report Disturbances to Telkom Indihome (Call Center, Social Media, App)

PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) is a state-owned telecommunications company that provides telecommunications and network services in Indonesia. This large company has a 24/7 crash reporting service for its customers. Here are some ways to report Telkom disturbances that you may not know.

How to Report Troubleshooting Telkom

This disturbance reporting service is not only intended for home or office telephone subscribers, but also for users of other Telkom products including pay TV (UseeTV) and internet services (Indihome Speedy, and wifi id.).

These disturbances can occur due to internal problems such as technical errors from Telkom or maybe the server is down, but they can also be due to external factors such as heavy rain, lightning, strong winds, or even a fallen tree that causes the Telkom cable to short.

Of course, it’s very annoying if suddenly the phone or wifi at home can’t be used for a number of reasons. In order not to drag on, you must immediately contact Telkom. If you want a quick response, the best option is to come directly to the Telkom office.

Although this method is quite classic, but you can directly meet with the officer and usually your report will take precedence. However, before going to the Telkom office, don’t forget to bring evidence of the complaint, for example in the form of photos or video recordings.

However, for some people, this method is considered quite inconvenient, especially if the distance between Telkom’s home and office is quite far. Not to mention if you have to get stuck in traffic and queue when you arrive at the office, plus you have to lose gasoline to drive. Alternatively, you can use one of the following methods:

1. Call to Call Center

This first method of reporting Telkom disturbances is the easiest and fastest way without having to go anywhere. This method can also make you connect directly with Telkom officers. You can use your home/office phone or call from your cellphone.

However, the negative side of this method is that you must have sufficient credit, at least 25 thousand so that the phone call is not disconnected before you finish talking and makes you have to call again, which in the end will actually spend more credit.

If you use a home or office phone, you can directly dial 147 and wait until the Telkom call center officer picks up your phone.

If you call via cellphone, before dialing 147 the area code must be added to 021, so the number is 021147. If using a cellphone, you will usually be connected to an automatic answering machine, which will give you a number of options, such as the following:

  • Press 1 to use the Indonesian language service.
  • Press 2 if you want to directly connect with an officer to report Indihome disturbances.
  • Press 3 if you want to report other disturbances, etc.

After Telkom customer service picks up, you can immediately tell the chronology or details of the disturbance that you experienced.

2. Via the MyIndihome App

If you don’t want to spend a lot of credit to call the call center, you can use an online application called MyIndihome, which can be accessed anytime (24 hours per 7 days) only from a smartphone, as long as you are connected to the internet.

This 3.7 MB size application can be used by all Telkom Indihome internet users. You can download it for free from the App Store and Google Play. It has a number of features in its user-friendly interface, such as:

  • Check the availability of Indihome services around your location.
  • Indihome registration / subscription list.
  • Monitor/supervise the installation process of Indihome equipment in your home or office.
  • Check bills and make Indihome payments.
  • Promotional notifications and the latest info about Indihome and Telkom.
  • Check the reward points that you get at once can be exchanged for various attractive prizes.
  • Allows you to add other Telkom services such as internet speed upgrade, speed on demand, seamless wifi.id, Iflix subscription, minipack TV cable channel, Catchplay, etc.
  • Report disturbances and oversee the process of resolving the reported problems.

The procedure for reporting Telkom disturbances through the MyIndihome application:

In order to access all the features in the list above, you must first download the application and register an account with MyIndihome. After that, immediately look for features “Report Disruption” and click.

  • Your cellphone screen will display a form consisting of several parts, namely the customer number, the type of service you use, what product is experiencing the problem, and a description / detail of the disturbance.

  • Make sure you fill out the form correctly and completely (especially the contact person section), then check the small box next to the text “The data above is correct and cannot be changed after you press the report button………”
  • If you are sure that all the data is correct, please click the red button that says “Send” or “Report”and your report will be directly entered into the Telkom system but of course it is in the queue.

If this report has been read, usually Telkom will contact you to the phone number that you filled in the form earlier to confirm and then a Telkom officer will come to your place. However, sometimes Telkom officers will come directly without confirmation.

3. Through Social Media

Via-Social-Media

The Telkom company has a number of social media which, apart from being able to be used to get the latest information, can also be used to report disturbances. How to report Telkom trouble through Telkom’s Twitter or Facebook account are as follows:

  • First, prepare your customer number.
  • Then choose one to report via Twitter at @telkomcare or via Facebook at Telkom Cares.
  • Next, immediately report the problem or disturbance you are experiencing via direct message (DM).
  • Usually in less or more than 1×24 hours your report will be responded to by the admin. Depending on the response, you just need to follow the next directions or wait for a Telkom officer to come to your location.

The weakness of this method is that you have to be patient to wait for a response, because of course there are lots of chats and Twitter mentions that are received by Telkom, so the admin takes a long time to respond one by one. But the advantage is that you don’t need to spend credit.

Another alternative than via Twitter or Facebook is via email. You can directly open the email and send a message to the address [email protected] Don’t forget to include your customer number along with your requirements in the section “Subject” email.

However, according to a number of existing sources, the way to report Telkom disturbances via email will usually take much longer to respond than via Facebook and Twitter, so it is better to use this method as the last option.

There are several ways to report Telkom disturbances that you can choose according to your preferences. If your house is close to the Telkom office, coming directly to the office is the best option. But if you don’t want to bother going out and driving, calling the call center is the most appropriate alternative.
